WoW

Yes! I am a WoW addict. Although, I must admit, that I started as a way to connect with my hubby more often. He was playing every night while sitting next to me as I watched a movie or tv. Three nights a week he would rush home and I would have to make dinner and put it in front of him, so that he could make raid nights with his guild. I was both happy that he had a hobby/addiction that could be easily done anywhere, but sad that we didn't spend much time communicating. Now, I'm in it for the achievements. I want them all!

I thought I'd start with the exploration ones and level up my cooking and fishing at the same time, since I needed to go back to the old world anyway. That didn't happen. I have a short attention span and fishing sucks. So, I have maybe half of the old world explored, with no rhyme or reason, just random areas.

My cooking skills are doing pretty good, but that was by freely spending money on auction house purchases to get me where I wanted to be. I'm still about 90 points shy of topping out that skill, but at least I can work on the dailies at both Shattrath and Dalaran.

Fishing is one of the worst things for me to do, but I want those achievements. I have 40 points to go til I can train for the Grand Master Fisherman. I've made it my goal to do 10 points a night for the next 4 days. It may not last 2 days, but at least I'll be that much closer.

Surprisingly, the easiest ones to get have been the random ones. Either running Heroic Instances or completing quests. Both of which I enjoy doing. I get my social interaction and complete achievements as I go. (Yes, the hubby does the quests with me, now.)

Oh, my goal for this year is to complete every achievement for every world event, in one year. I'm off to a great start, I completed Winter Veil and got the Merrymaker title with 4 days to spare! Next up the Lunar New Year...
